How do I add devices?

You can add iOS, Mac, watchOS, or Android devices by installing PowerToYou on them and signing in with the same account.

Bluetooth devices need to be added through PowerToYou on a Mac, in the Options → Add Bluetooth Device Menu. PowerToYou on iOS does not currently support Bluetooth devices due to Apple's restrictions.

Why aren't my iOS devices refreshing?

Apple doesn’t let apps refresh often in the background—but widgets can update roughly every 15 minutes. Even then, the exact timing depends on your iPhone’s battery, temperature, and how busy it is. PowerToYou doesn’t control this; Apple does.

Battery levels will also be rounded to the nearest 5% on iOS and watchOS as Apple does not let apps access the exact percentage.

To get the most frequent updates, add the PowerToYou widget to your Home or Lock Screen. Because of these limits, the info may be slightly behind real-time, but it’s still accurate enough to let you have a good idea of your battery levels.

Bonus: If you're an advanced user, you can use Automations in the Shortcuts app to trigger a refresh of PowerToYou at certain times, or when certain conditions are met. For example, you can set it to refresh whenever you connect to a charger, activate low power mode, leave your house, or at a specific time of day.

Why isn't my Apple Watch refreshing?

Like with iOS devices, Apple Watch refresh times are controlled by the system. To maximize refresh times, add the PowerToYou Complication to your active Watch face (the one you're currently using).
